Pelat Timah Nusantara or Latinusa (NIKL) reported net earnings of Rp55.3bn in 1H10, surged significantly from Rp8.5bn in the same period last year due to lower cost of production. Sales jumped by 21.3% YoY to reach Rp722.9bn from Rp596bn last year. During the first six months of this year, production cost increased by less than 10%, pushing its gross profit to jump significantly to Rp132.6bn from Rp57.2bn last year. In the mean time, operating profit surged to Rp75bn from Rp28bn last year while operating expense rising by nearly 98% YoY. Source: Detik News
